Bitcoin retreated to the 63,000 dollar area in trading on Tuesday morning, 28 July 2026 (6 Mordad 1405). ArzDigital quoted bitcoin at 63,147 dollars at that hour, while the AlanChand board recorded it at 63,332 dollars and lower at 07:30 the same day. Ether was also quoted lower on the same board, at 1,881 dollars.
That level is about 3 percent below Monday's opening, 5 Mordad, when bitcoin began trading at 65,333 dollars. The retreat came alongside the selloff in semiconductor and artificial intelligence shares across Asian markets the same day, and on the eve of the two day Federal Open Market Committee meeting, whose interest rate decision is due on Wednesday, 7 Mordad.
For Iran's market, the global path of cryptocurrencies is followed mainly through the price of tether. Tether changed hands at between 189,481 tomans (ArzDigital) and 189,800 tomans (AlanChand) at the same hours, above the free market dollar selling rate of 187,550 tomans on the same board. Tether trading above physical dollar notes is usually a sign of demand pressure in the domestic crypto market.
