Bitcoin retreated into the 63,000 dollar range ahead of the Federal Reserve decision

Bitcoin fell about 2.7 percent in trading on Tuesday 6 Mordad 1405 (28 July 2026), sliding from close to 65,000 dollars to roughly 63,200 dollars. The token had opened the day at 63,706 dollars, 2.5 percent below Monday's opening price.
The decline spread across the market, dragging down ether, XRP and solana. Total crypto market capitalisation fell 1.6 percent in the 24 hours to Tuesday 28 July, reaching 2.26 trillion dollars, with trading volume recorded at 65.7 billion dollars.
The main driver is the two day Federal Reserve meeting that opened the same day, with its rate decision due on Wednesday 7 Mordad (29 July). A broad selloff in Asian equities, led by South Korea's Kospi, added to the pressure. Analysts note that bitcoin tends to move with stocks during periods of macro and interest rate stress. The latest price recorded on Sahmino's prices page as of Tuesday evening 6 Mordad was 63,437 dollars, down 2.44 percent.
