Bitcoin came under pressure on Thursday, 23 July, slipping to around $65,500. A jump in oil prices and rising US Treasury yields amid the Iran-US war dented risk appetite and weighed on major cryptocurrencies.
At the same time, betting-market odds on passage of the US Digital Asset Market Clarity Act fell after several Democratic senators criticized the latest draft. Even so, US spot bitcoin ETFs logged a seventh straight day of net inflows on Wednesday, taking in about $69 million.
For Iran's market, the main channel through which crypto is felt is the price of tether, which Sahmino tracks at close to one dollar.
