Budget Chief: Wheat Farmers' Outstanding Payments to Be Fully Settled by Next Week

The head of Iran's Plan and Budget Organization said on Tuesday, 7 Mehr 1405 (September 29, 2026), that 450,000 billion tomans was owed to wheat farmers under the government's guaranteed purchase program, of which 370,000 billion tomans has been paid so far. According to Mehr News Agency, he said the remaining balance, about 80,000 billion tomans, will be fully settled by the end of next week.
