The head of the Housing Foundation in Iran's Bushehr province said on the evening of Saturday, 1 August 2026 (10 Mordad 1405), at a meeting reviewing war damaged properties, that a total of 8,456 residential, commercial and livelihood related units in the province had been damaged.
According to Amir Boroumand, 2 of them need to be rebuilt from scratch, 6,405 are residential and commercial units requiring repair, and 2,049 cases concern livelihood damage caused by the loss of essential household goods. He added that after field assessment and registration of the damage was completed, payments to those affected had begun in stages according to a timetable, and would continue until every case is settled.
Bushehr is one of Iran's energy and port hubs on the northern Persian Gulf. The recorded scale of the damage and the pace of compensation bear on rebuilding costs and on the province's housing and rental market.
