Bushehr housing foundation says 8,456 units were damaged in the US and Israeli strikes, with compensation payments now under way

The head of the Islamic Revolution Housing Foundation in Bushehr province said on Sunday 2 August 2026 (11 Mordad 1405) that 8,456 residential, commercial and livelihood units in the province had been damaged in the US and Israeli strikes.
Amir Boroumand told reporters that damage assessment for all of these units has been completed and that payments to those affected have begun. He said that of the total damaged units, 2 require complete reconstruction, 6,405 residential and commercial units fall into the repairable category, and 2,049 cases relate to livelihood damage caused by the loss of essential household goods.
Boroumand added that compensation is being paid in phases according to a set schedule, and that the process will continue until every case has been settled. The figures represent the first official tally of the scale of damage to residential and business units in Bushehr province.
