US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Wednesday, July 8 (17 Tir), that its forces had completed a fresh round of strikes against Iran, hitting approximately 90 military targets along the country's coastline. According to the statement, the targets included air defense systems, coastal surveillance assets, missile and drone storage sites, naval capabilities, and military logistics infrastructure. CENTCOM said the operation aimed to degrade Iran's ability to attack commercial vessels and civilian mariners in the Strait of Hormuz. The strikes followed an initial wave on the night of Tuesday, July 7 (16 Tir), that hit about 80 targets, including more than 60 Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps fast-attack boats.
