Central Bank Restricts Remote Rial Withdrawals at Five Crypto Exchanges Until Thursday 23 Mehr

According to Arzdigital's report on a Central Bank letter to banks, access for five crypto exchange companies, Nobitex, Bitpin, Arzinja, Ramzinex and Tetherland, to the remote cash-withdrawal web service is blocked from 16:00 on Monday, 20 Mehr 1405 (October 12, 2026). The restriction lasts until 15:59 on Thursday, 23 Mehr. Arzdigital adds that for two of the companies, a daily remote withdrawal cap of 5 billion rials is set until 30 Mehr once the first phase ends. The decision follows resolutions of the joint crypto action task force and relates to a breach of that task force's notice of 7 Mehr.
Khabaronline, citing Fars, wrote that the decision was taken by a committee at the National Cyberspace Center and that the Central Bank told banks to enforce it; it describes the restriction as lasting three days with a possible extension. Nobitex said the restriction stems from these exchanges insisting on protecting user privacy and refusing to hand over user data, and it has objected to the decision. The platform stressed that users' crypto balances and crypto withdrawals are unchanged and that only the banking route for rial settlement is affected.
Bitpin reported delays in rial withdrawals from 16:00, and Arzinja said toman deposits continue without limits but toman withdrawals may be delayed or disrupted. For Iranian users the practical effect is slower conversion of crypto into rials through the bank web service until the window ends.
