Currency Market Ends the First Day of the Week With a Slight Pullback in the Free-Market Dollar

The free-market US dollar traded in the 233,000-toman band on Saturday, September 26, 2026 (4 Mehr 1405). According to Boursenews, the rate was about 2,000 tomans lower than on Thursday, September 24, while the euro, the dirham and other currencies also moved. Sahmino's own price data recorded the latest US dollar rate at 19:59 on Saturday at 2,333,050 rials (about 233,305 tomans).

EcoIran reported that during Saturday's trading the dollar climbed above 234,000 tomans but failed to break its all-time high, with news of Trump's rejection of Iran's seven-day plan the day's negative signal. The domestic Tether (USDT) rate stood at about 234,525 tomans on Sunday morning, September 27.
