Trezor, a leading maker of cryptocurrency hardware wallets, said Friday, August 14, 2026 (23 Mordad 1405), according to Arzdigital, that a data breach at its logistics partner ShipMonk exposed the personal data of more than 13,000 customers. The breach included the name, email, phone number and home address of 11,742 buyers. CoinDesk separately reported that Trezor warned about 14,000 customers following the incident.
Trezor stressed that neither its devices nor its internal systems were hacked and that users' crypto holdings are not directly at risk of theft through the breach, but the exposure of buyers' home addresses has heightened concern over so called wrench attacks, physical thefts targeting identified cryptocurrency holders. According to Arzdigital, citing blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis, the value of assets stolen in violent attacks reached a record $58 million in 2025, with 37 percent of recorded incidents involving home invasions. Trezor said it plans to launch an anonymous shipping system in Europe and the United States by the end of 2026.
