Economy and Finance Minister Seyyed Ali Madanizadeh, in remarks reported by Mehr News Agency on Saturday, October 10, 2026 (18 Mehr 1405), set out the tax support package for firms damaged in the war: 148,000 billion tomans in penalty waivers, 20,000 billion tomans in suspended tax enforcement, about 8,000 billion tomans in debts rescheduled into installments and 2,000 billion tomans in deferred debts. He said these measures sit alongside tax credits and other support planned for small, medium and large enterprises.
According to the minister, 300,000 small businesses have benefited from the Economy Ministry's support capacity, with more than 8,500 billion tomans of credit allocated to them. About 3,200 small and medium firms put forward by the Industry Ministry were introduced to banks for working-capital and reconstruction loans. Requests worth about 80,000 billion tomans have arrived, half of which have been processed, and payment of facilities worth more than 87,000 billion tomans has begun. Madanizadeh named restoring economic stability, controlling the currency market and containing inflation as the other pillar of the government's plan, and said funding shortfalls and the budget deficit will be resolved through the planning already done.
