Hossein Saeedi, supervisor of Hormozgan province's customs offices, said in a report Donya-e-Eqtesad published on Saturday, October 10, 2026 (18 Mehr 1405) that the province's customs handled more than 14,370,000 tonnes of goods worth over 8 billion dollars in exports and imports in the first six months of 1405. Exports came to 13,073,000 tonnes worth 4.066 billion dollars and imports to 1,298,000 tonnes worth 3.988 billion dollars.

Hormozgan customs revenue in the period reached 1,124,992 billion rials, against 571,615 billion rials in the same period last year, a rise of 97 percent. Saeedi said some of the province's customs buildings and infrastructure were damaged in wartime conditions, but staff used alternative premises and field work to keep customs procedures running without a halt.
