Arzdigital reported that ether fell by nearly 200 dollars in a day to about 2,315 dollars on Thursday, 23 Mehr 1405 (October 15, 2026), its lowest level since mid-August. Bitcoin dropped to 80,700 dollars in morning trading before recovering part of the loss. At midday a data provider showed bitcoin at about 81,463 dollars and ether at about 2,378 dollars.
Citing CoinGlass, about 293 million dollars of leveraged trades were liquidated over the past 24 hours, 92 percent of them long positions, and ether ETFs saw net outflows of about 130 million dollars. The macro trigger was US annual inflation of 3.7 percent for September against a 3.6 percent forecast, plus the sell-off in Asian stock markets. Analysts disagree: Paul Howard of Wincent sees bitcoin ranging between 80,000 and 88,000 dollars, with a break below 80,000 targeting 75,000 dollars, while Matt Mena of 21Shares sees room for a return above 85,000 dollars. Prices are live readings and change during the day.
