The remittance selling rate for the US dollar at Iran's Currency and Gold Exchange Center rose slightly (about 0.07 percent) to 151,467 tomans on Saturday, 25 July 2026 (3 Mordad 1405), with the remittance buying rate recorded at 150,104 tomans. In the same session, the euro remittance sell rate was 172,435 tomans, the UAE dirham 41,243 tomans and 100 Japanese yen 92,512 tomans.
The notable feature of the day is that the two markets moved in opposite directions: while the official remittance rate edged up, the open-market dollar fell about 1.8 percent by Saturday evening and stood around 189,700 tomans according to Sahmino's price board (updated 19:59 on Saturday, 3 Mordad). That left the gap between the open-market rate and the Exchange Center remittance rate at roughly 38,200 tomans, close to 25 percent, compared with about 40,000 tomans on Wednesday, 22 July (31 Tir).
The Exchange Center is the government's official mechanism for supplying foreign currency to importers and designated economic sectors, and its rate serves as the benchmark for part of Iran's commercial and administrative transactions.
