Farm Gate Egg Price Reaches 230,000 Toman Per Kilogram

According to Donya-e-Eqtesad, in a report published Saturday, August 8, 2026 (17 Mordad 1405), the head of Iran's Poultry Farmers Union said the cost-based guideline farm gate price for a kilogram of eggs, set by the Poultry Affairs Office, has been fixed at 235,000 toman, while the current farm gate trading price stands at 230,000 toman per kilogram. He said retail sales at produce markets and chain stores carry a markup below the 23 percent legal margin announced by the Consumer and Producer Protection Organization.
