The National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company announced that, starting 23 July 2026 (1 Mordad 1405), compressed natural gas (CNG) will be supplied free of charge and until further notice at more than one thousand stations across the country for dual-fuel vehicles. The measure runs under a campaign named "Yekdel for Iran," with voluntary participation by station operators.
According to the company, the stated aim is to help the public, manage fuel use, cut gasoline consumption, and safeguard the country's energy reserves under wartime conditions. Encouraging drivers to switch to CNG can ease pressure on gasoline imports and distribution.
