The free-market US dollar eased on Saturday, 25 July 2026 (3 Mordad 1405), trading near 191,200 tomans in midday dealing (around 11:30 Tehran time), about 1% (roughly 1,900 tomans) below last week's close near 193,000 tomans.
The pullback coincided with reports of Pakistan- and China-led mediation efforts to revive talks, a factor that has modestly lowered perceived risk in the local market. The tavafoqi (agreed-rate) dollar traded in the same range, in line with the free market.
