The free market US dollar rate fluctuated in a narrow band in Tehran on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Donya-e-Eqtesad reported the dollar at 223,970 tomans at 11:23 local time, describing it as down from the previous day. Over the same window, live data from the TGJU financial information network at 11:25 showed the dollar up 0.72 percent, about 1,600 tomans, to near 223,700 tomans, and Sahmino's own tracked data recorded a matching 0.71 percent rise at the same time. The euro, per TGJU, rose 0.62 percent to 260,410 tomans and the British pound rose 0.66 percent to 303,390 tomans.
