Free-Market Dollar Nears 232,000 Tomans in Tehran

According to Donya e Eqtesad, the free market US dollar traded higher today, Sunday, September 20, 2026 (29 Shahrivar 1405), reaching 232,030 tomans, up from the previous day. Sahmino's own data showed the rate at 232,115 tomans as of 11:30 a.m. that day, up 0.8 percent (18,400 rials) from the prior day; the negotiated dollar rate rose similarly to 232,105 tomans. The move extends the currency's upward trend of recent days.
