Gold Funds' Assets on Iran Mercantile Exchange Top 700 Trillion Tomans

According to Boursenews, the net asset value of gold funds active on the Iran Mercantile Exchange crossed 700,000 billion tomans (700 trillion tomans) on Sunday, 25 Mordad 1405 (August 16, 2026), a historic record. Thirty five gold funds are currently active on the exchange, trading under tickers including Miras, Dafineh, Gholak Gold, Mehr Gold, Zarniran, Hamian, Negin Fars, Jam, Rozgold, Golda, Riton, Zargar, Dorna, Roz Toranj, Emerald, Goldis, Zomorod, Ghirat, Atash, Derakhshan, Zarvan, Lian, Tabesh, Javaher, Alton, Nab, Ganj, Nafis, Zarfam, Mesghal, Kahroba, Ayar, Gohar and Zar.
Boursenews described the growth as a sign of strong investor confidence in transparent, exchange traded gold funds. The record was set on a day when, per Gold and Jewelry Union data, Tehran's gold and coin market was broadly lower.
