Hormozgan Steel Breaks Its Six-Month Slab Output Record for a Second Year Running

Hormozgan Steel Company said it produced 742,384 tonnes of steel slab in the first half of the Iranian year 1405 (21 March to 22 September 2026), beating its previous six-month record by 2,672 tonnes. It is the second consecutive year the company has set a new six-month slab production record.

In a message published on Saturday, 26 September 2026, managing director Alireza Rahim attributed the result to the efforts of staff and productivity gains under difficult conditions caused by the forty-day war and production constraints. Slab is a semi-finished steel product used as feedstock for hot- and cold-rolled sheet.
