Iran Customs chief Foroud Asgari said on Saturday, 17 October 2026, that implementing rules for customs facilitation are being drafted. Under the plan he described, exports assessed and sealed by an inland customs office would use a green channel at the border, while higher-risk consignments would face further inspection. Deadlines for import permits are also planned. Drafting the rules does not mean they are already in force nationwide.
