Iran Weather Service Warns of Heavy Rain in the Southeast From Monday
17 October 2026 | 4 days ago
A weather specialist cited by Mehr on Saturday, 17 October 2026, said a new rain system is expected to reach Iran's northern coasts from Monday, 19 October, with relatively heavy rain forecast for Sistan and Baluchestan, eastern and northern Hormozgan, and southwestern Kerman. This is a forecast for coming days, not a report that the rain occurred on Saturday.
The expected concentration in southeastern provinces and Hormozgan matters to transport and regional trade, where overland routes and port access can be sensitive to weather. The actual rainfall and any disruption can be assessed only once the system arrives.
