Iran Khodro to offer 600 Arisan 2 pickups on the Iran Mercantile Exchange

In its latest sales programme, published on Sunday, 26 July 2026, Iran Khodro announced an offering of 600 Arisan 2 pickup trucks through the Iran Mercantile Exchange. According to the announcement, the aim of selling via the capital market is to create transparency in the sales process, allow price discovery in a competitive setting, and reduce the role of intermediaries.
Selling vehicles through the exchange's car trading floor is a mechanism in which the price is discovered through competition among buyers rather than set administratively at the factory. Applicants must deposit a percentage of the base price as a down payment to take part in the process.
This is not the first Arisan 2 offering on the exchange. In Khordad 1405 (June 2026), 400 units of the same model were placed on the car trading floor at a base price of 13.5 billion rials. The new offering is 50 percent larger than that round. The outcome, meaning the ratio of units sold to units offered and the price discovered, will serve as a gauge of purchasing power in the car market at a time when the free-market exchange rate has retreated in recent days.
