Iran Khodro's first assembled Safir R7 crossovers go on display at its Ikko Premium showroom

The first units of the Safir R7, Iran Khodro's new locally assembled model, went on display at the company's Ikko Premium showroom in the early hours of Sunday, 26 July 2026.
The launch of a new assembled model by Iran's largest carmaker carries two meanings for the vehicle market: another option added to the domestic SUV line-up, and a gauge of the company's ability to secure parts and foreign currency under current constraints. Full pricing and sales terms for the model have not yet been detailed.
Iran's car market has been mixed in recent days. Sahmino previously reported that in Saturday's trading on 25 July some models such as the Atlas G reached 1.56 billion tomans, while the automatic Shahin fell in price.
