Iran Khodro unveils the Safir R7 crossover, ending its Haima economy line

Iran Khodro formally unveiled the Safir R7 luxury crossover at its Safir Store on Monday 27 July 2026, bringing an official end to its Haima economy product line. Haima was for years one of the carmaker's best-known models in the budget segment, and replacing it with a higher-tier crossover marks a shift in Iran Khodro's product mix.
The launch comes as Iran Khodro, according to financial statements published on Codal, returned to a loss in the spring quarter of 1405, posting a net loss of 224,803 billion rials.
Iran's domestic car market was mostly flat to lower on Monday 27 July 2026, with the gap between factory and open-market prices still wide on some models.
