Iran Mercantile Exchange's Physical Market Trades 3.3 Million Tons in a Week, Led by National Iranian Copper

According to Boursenews, citing Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) trading data, about 3,314,000 tons of goods worth more than 141.5 thousand billion tomans changed hands on the exchange's physical market in the week ending 3 Mehr 1405 (September 25, 2026). The top 10 sellers accounted for more than 67.7 thousand billion tomans of that value.
National Iranian Copper Industries ranked first, selling 18,400 tons of copper products, sulfur and molybdenum oxide worth 26,808 billion tomans. Mobarakeh Steel came second with 123,780 tons of hot and cold rolled sheet and slab worth 15,276 billion tomans, and Bandar Abbas Oil Refinery was third with 70,000 tons of vacuum bottoms and heavy lube cut worth 4,580 billion tomans. Chadormalu, Tehran Oil Refinery, Isfahan Oil Refinery, Khuzestan Steel, Iralco and Saba Steel of the Persian Gulf completed the top 10.
Base metals and petroleum products sold on the IME set the reference price for a large share of Iranian industry's raw materials.
