Iran's tax authority chief Mohammad Hadi Sobhanian said in a report published by Mehr on Sunday, 18 October 2026 that business tax refunds in the first half of 1405 increased by 75% against the first half of 1404. He said the aim was to support firms' liquidity and working capital. He also said the share of corporate tax returns reviewed by individual assessors had fallen from about 66% in 1402 to about 14% in 1404. The figures are the agency's statements; the report does not give an aggregate refund amount.
