Iran's domestic gold market turned lower on Saturday, 25 July 2026 (3 Mordad 1405). In midday trading (around 11:30 Tehran time), each gram of 18-karat gold traded near 18,330,000 tomans, about 2.8% (roughly 520,000 tomans per gram) below last week's close.
The decline has two main roots: the pullback in the global gold ounce, which settled near $4,050 on Friday, and a firmer rial, which lowered the input cost of domestic gold. The free-market dollar's slide into the 191,000-toman range, alongside regional mediation efforts aimed at cooling tensions, trimmed safe-haven demand in the local market.
