According to Khabar Online, Araghchi reviewed diplomatic efforts to restore regional stability and end the insecurity in the Strait of Hormuz following recent US military actions. The calls came hours after US forces struck three Iranian oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and the Sea of Oman.
