Iran's industry ministry approves the freeing of sugar exports

Iran's Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade has approved the export of sugar. The decision follows the earlier freeing of exports for 15 agricultural goods.
Freeing exports of a given commodity means lifting a previous ban and allowing export order registration for it. Export policy for staple goods and agricultural products has shifted repeatedly between bans and liberalisation in recent years, and such decisions affect both the margins of listed sugar producers on the Tehran Stock Exchange and the supply balance in the domestic market.
