Iran's monthly inflation rate fell to 3.6% in Tir 1405 (the month ending 22 July 2026), roughly half the 7.4% recorded the previous month. The figures were released on Tuesday, 28 July 2026.
The Central Bank also reported inflation of 57.7% for the twelve months ending in Khordad 1405.
Earlier the same day, Central Bank Governor Abdolnaser Hemmati had said the monthly inflation rate in Tir was close to half that of Khordad; the published figures put a number on that statement.
Monthly inflation measures how fast prices rose within a single month, so a decline means the pace of price increases has slowed rather than that prices have fallen. Twelve-month inflation remains at an elevated level.
