29 August 2026 | 2 months ago
Iran's Statistical Center has reported Mordad 1405 (July 23 to August 22, 2026) monthly inflation at 3.4 percent and point to point inflation at 89 percent. The Central Bank of Iran, estimating the same month separately, put monthly inflation at 3.7 percent and point to point inflation at 84.4 percent. Despite the modest gap between the two official bodies' figures, both reports point to persistently high inflation and a fragile disinflation trend in Iran's economy.
