Iraqi Airways Flights Return to Imam Khomeini Airport After a Pause, With One Daily Flight to Najaf

Javad Salehi, deputy for operations at Imam Khomeini Airport City, citing the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, announced the resumption of Iraqi Airways flights, Mehr News Agency reported. The airline's first flight arrived from Najaf at 7:30 on Thursday, 16 Mehr 1405 (8 October), and left Tehran for Najaf at 8:30.
Under the schedule, Iraqi Airways will operate one flight a day at the airport, and passenger check-in and departures on the Tehran and Najaf route are in place. Salehi described the return of these flights as a step toward the gradual revival and expansion of foreign flights at the airport city. Flights to Najaf had been halted from 3 Mehr, and on 7 Mehr Iraqi Airways announced it would resume flights to Iran from 9 Mehr, starting with Najaf.
