Iraqi Airways to Resume Flights to Iran From October 1, Starting at Najaf

Iraqi Airways, Iraq's largest state-owned carrier, announced on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 (7 Mehr 1405), that it will resume flights to Iran starting Thursday, October 1 (9 Mehr). According to the airline's statement, the flights will begin from Najaf International Airport, with crews currently preparing aircraft and completing the necessary organizational and technical requirements. The move follows the suspension of Iranian airlines' flights to Iraq since September 23.
