IRGC spokesman says B-1 bombers used UK airfields and that states assisting the United States would be legitimate targets

A spokesman for Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in remarks published in the early hours of Sunday, 26 July 2026, said US B-1 bombers had used airfields in the United Kingdom, and warned that any country, including the United Kingdom and the states of the Persian Gulf, would be a legitimate and certain target for Iran if it assisted the United States in the war. He added that Iran has a defined plan for every scenario.
The comments come shortly after the United States halted its nightly strikes on Friday evening, 24 July, and while Omani mediation over the Strait of Hormuz continues. Sahmino has previously reported Kuwait's official denial that it made its territory or airspace available, and reports that Bahrain and Kuwait had sent fighter aircraft.
The geographic spread of the conflict is the decisive variable for the risk premium in regional energy and marine insurance markets; war-risk premiums for voyages in the region have risen in recent days.
