Listed refiner denies rumours of a new feedstock pricing directive; the extended circular remains the basis

A refining company listed on the Iranian capital market published a clarification filing on the Codal disclosure system on Saturday 1 August 2026 (10 Mordad 1405), responding to rumours circulating online about a change to the pricing directive for crude feedstock and refined petroleum products.
The filing states that under Cabinet resolution number 5689/T65501 dated 24 April 2026 (4 Ordibehesht 1405), the Oil Ministry's circular number 903 dated 13 January 2024 (23 Dey 1402) was extended to the end of Tir 1405. The company stressed that no new directive on the pricing of crude oil and refined products has been issued by the relevant authorities to date, and that the extended circular therefore remains the basis for its calculations.
The price of feedstock delivered to refineries and the prices of their products are the two main variables driving margins in the refining group, whose index heavyweights carry substantial weight in the Tehran Stock Exchange's main index. According to the filing, the current procedure will apply until a new resolution is communicated.
