RippleX Permanently Retires Five Legacy XRP Ledger Amendments in Version 3.3.0 Update
9 August 2026 · 2 months ago
According to Arzdigital, published Sunday, 18 Mordad 1405 (August 9, 2026), XRP Ledger developers retired five legacy protocol amendments, including Clawback, an NFT transaction fix, and decimal-calculation improvements, making them a permanent and inseparable part of the protocol as part of version 3.3.0. Under the blockchain's rules, once a feature has run active and stable on the network for more than two years, the pre-amendment code is removed; RippleX software engineer Mayukha Vadari said the move is purely a codebase cleanup that affects no users, and that XRP holders need take no action.
Version 3.3.0 also introduces six new proposals, including confidential transactions and a transaction-fee sponsorship feature, which require more than 80 percent validator approval sustained for two consecutive weeks to activate on the mainnet. Node operators are required to upgrade to the new version promptly to avoid being locked out.
