A filing by Strategy Inc (formerly MicroStrategy) with the US Securities and Exchange Commission shows the company sold about 1,638 bitcoin worth roughly $104.7 million between July 27 and August 2, 2026. According to CoinDesk and Arzdigital, this was Strategy's fourth bitcoin sale since June, a period in which the company, long known for continuous bitcoin buying, has recorded no new purchases. Strategy's average bitcoin purchase price is estimated at about $75,419, which leaves part of its holdings at an unrealized loss at current market prices. Strategy chairman Michael Saylor posted a chart of the company's bitcoin holdings on X on Sunday with only the words "Doing Business," fueling speculation over whether the selling trend will continue.
