Saudi Arabia's benchmark Tadawul All Share Index closed on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, down about 43 points, or 0.4 percent, at 10,698.81. Shares of oil giant Aramco also fell around 0.5 percent as global crude prices slipped.
Gulf equity markets moved in different directions on Tuesday as investors tracked mediation efforts between Iran and the United States alongside fresh security risks in the Red Sea, including Houthi threats to block Saudi shipping routes. Swings in Persian Gulf bourses are one regional barometer of how the current crisis is affecting asset markets in Iran's neighbours.
