Securities Regulator Grants Preliminary Approval for a New Gold Fund by Tavoos Khavarmianeh Investment Bank

According to Boursenews, in a report published on Thursday, 2 Mehr 1405 (September 24, 2026), the Securities and Exchange Organization's fund supervision center issued preliminary approval for Tavoos Khavarmianeh Investment Bank to set up an exchange traded investment fund based on commodity certificates of deposit in the gold category.

Under the approval, the fund's size is set at a minimum of 50 million and a maximum of 500 million investment units, each with a nominal value of 10,000 rials.
Gold funds are among the most popular gold investment vehicles on Iran's capital market; separately, the Iran Mercantile Exchange cut the holding cap for institutions in gold bullion certificates from today, though gold based funds are exempt from that cap.
