Mehr cited a stronger dollar and rising US Treasury yields as the main pressures: the 30-year yield reached its highest level since 2004 on Thursday, September 24, and the dollar index stood near a two-month high. Elevated oil prices and stronger-than-expected US economic data have added to concerns about persistent inflation and further rate increases. The global ounce price is one of the two main drivers of gold and coin prices in Iran's domestic market.
