According to the latest treasury performance report of the Iran Mercantile Exchange, 2,100 kg of silver ingot entered the treasury in a single day on Saturday 1 August 2026 (10 Mordad 1405), breaking the previous record. The earlier record was 2,000 kg, set on 23 May 2026 (2 Khordad 1405).
The exchange described the higher volume as a reflection of improving liquidity and confidence in the trading mechanism of the silver deposit certificate market. The main advantage of the instrument is that an investor can hold silver exposure without the burden of transport, physical storage and security risk.
The Iran Mercantile Exchange guarantees the authenticity and quality of ingots entering its treasury, which has been cited as a key factor behind the rising volume of deliveries.
