Spot Bitcoin ETFs Post Best Week Since April With Over $853 Million in Inflows

According to CoinDesk, published Sunday, 9 August 2026 (18 Mordad 1405) and corroborated the next day by Arzdigital, spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded net inflows of more than $853 million in the week through that date, their strongest week since mid April. BlackRock's IBIT fund took the largest share of the inflows. The rebound ended an outflow streak that had begun in June and early July. Ether ETFs also drew $244 million in net inflows, a figure that outpaces Bitcoin's relative to each asset's market size.
The main driver was a weaker than expected US jobs report for July (a loss of 23,000 jobs against expectations of 80,000 new jobs), which strengthened the odds of a Federal Reserve rate cut at its September meeting. Analyst Tyler Warner said the return of inflows is an important signal for identifying a bottom in the recent bear market, even though bitcoin and ether prices rose only about 2 percent over the same week.
