According to Ecoiran, citing Gulf News, published Sunday, 8 Shahrivar 1405 (August 30, 2026), SpaceX's Starlink satellite internet service has gone live in the United Arab Emirates, and home users in the country can now access the service. Starlink's own website now lists the UAE among its covered regions.
Starlink's entry into the UAE market began in 2024, when the country's communications regulator and digital government authority issued it a license, initially focused on maritime services and later expanded to aviation; Emirates airline began installing Starlink internet on its fleet last year. Kuwait joined the list of countries with Starlink coverage earlier in 2026. Starlink now operates the world's largest communications satellite constellation, with more than 11,000 active satellites in low Earth orbit.
