The Tehran Stock Exchange's main TEDPIX index rose 3.9 percent in the trading week ended Wednesday 7 Mordad 1405 (29 July 2026), pushing back above the psychological 5 million mark to 5,075,000 points. The move, which came during Sunday 4 Mordad's session, followed two consecutive weekly declines.
The equal weighted index gained 5.66 percent over the same week to 1,432,000 points, its best weekly performance in six weeks and a new all time record. Since the start of the Iranian year 1405, TEDPIX has returned about 37 percent against about 50 percent for the equal weighted index, a 13 percentage point gap indicating that small and mid cap shares, rather than the large index heavyweights, have driven the market's recent gains.
Retail investors were net buyers on four of the week's five sessions, with only Wednesday recording a net outflow. Total retail inflows for the week reached about 6,300 billion tomans, and the average value of retail trading held in the 27,000 billion toman channel.
