Tehran province IRGC: controlled destruction of unexploded ordnance in Pakdasht set for Monday in two phases
27 July 2026 | 3 months ago
The public relations office of the Seyyed al Shohada IRGC corps of Tehran province said in a notice that the controlled destruction of unexploded ordnance in Pakdasht county will be carried out on Monday, 27 July 2026 (5 Mordad 1405) in two phases: the first from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and the second from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
According to the notice, the operation will be conducted by a specialist inspection and disposal team, and blast sounds may be heard as a result of the technical work. The Tehran province corps stressed that these sounds are no cause for concern among residents and asked the public to disregard rumours.
Advance notices of this kind have become more common in recent days so that planned detonations are not mistaken for fresh attacks, something that has repeatedly affected short term behaviour in Tehran's currency and gold markets in past weeks.
