26 September 2026 · 11 days ago
The Tehran Stock Exchange met rising selling pressure from the first minutes of trading on Saturday, 26 September 2026 (4 Mehr 1405), the first session of the Iranian week. According to Donya-e-Eqtesad, the main TEDPIX index was down about 118,000 points (1.63 percent) at mid-session, near 7.138 million points, while the equal-weighted index slipped about 0.7 percent to around 1.925 million.

Sahmino's own price data as of 11:30 Tehran time on the same day shows a similar picture: TEDPIX was down 1.58 percent at 7,142,104 points and the equal-weighted index down 0.61 percent at 1,927,262. The Farabourse index, by contrast, was little changed (up 0.03 percent) at 57,630. The larger drop in the cap-weighted index than in the equal-weighted one indicates that selling was concentrated in the large caps. The decline follows last week's end to an eight-week rally on the bourse.
