The Emami coin sheds about 3 million tomans on Sunday as its bubble collapses to 2.1 million

26 July 2026 · 2 months ago

Iran's coin and gold market fell on Sunday, 26 July 2026 (4 Mordad 1405). According to Tejarat News, the market lost support levels at the open and turned lower, with the coin shedding about 3,300,000 tomans during the day, though part of the decline was pared back later in the session.

On Sahmino's price board as of 13:39 on Sunday, 4 Mordad, the Emami coin was down 2,975,000 tomans, or 1.64 percent, at 181,505,000 tomans, while the Bahar Azadi coin was 1.83 percent lower at 176,665,000 tomans.

The standout of the day was the collapse in the Emami coin's bubble: the gap between its market price and its intrinsic value, based on the weight of gold it contains, fell nearly 64 percent to about 2,120,000 tomans. A shrinking bubble usually signals that speculative demand is cooling, and it came alongside the drop in the open-market dollar rate.
