Emami coin closes near 188 million tomans on Wednesday, up more than 2% on the day

Tehran's gold and coin market rallied sharply on the fourth day of the week, Wednesday, 29 July 2026 (7 Mordad 1405). According to Eghtesad Online, by 17:00 Tehran time the new-design gold coin had risen more than 3.6 million tomans from the previous day to 187.2 million tomans.

On Sahmino's price feed, the last recorded quote for the Emami coin as of 19:59 the same day was 187.985 million tomans, up 2.17%. The Bahar Azadi coin was recorded at 184.09 million tomans, up 2.24%, and a gram of 18-carat gold at 18.81 million tomans, up 2.56%.

The rally came on a day when the free-market dollar rose 1.74% to 193,500 tomans, meaning gold and coin moved faster than the currency. Spot gold traded between $4,020 and $4,043 an ounce over the same hours.
